q93 1970 breitling navitimer 806 chronograph - $5,900 (Texarkana)

i cannot over state the wonderful condition of this beautiful, 56 year old breitling “navitimer 806”. it almost looks like new and is 100% all factory original, unmolested in any way, just exactly like the day it came out of the factory in switzerland in 1970 (except the replacement strap)! my pictures do not do this watch justice!
i purchased this beauty from the original owner whom rarely wore it. it comes in the original box with original hang tag, with original booklet with original receipt from the purchase in 1972!
minty, factory original black panda dial with the aopa gold wings. after 1964 the navitimers had black dials with the twin jets. beautiful original hand set. excellent original crystal (some very light surface “cuff” marks).
the case and bezel on this watch are both in amazing condition. this case is in excellent condition and you can clearly see the original factory finish. aside from some very tiny, light, surface “cuff” marks the case is nearly perfect.
this watch is powered by the famous venus 178, 17 jewel, chronograph movement. the movement in this watch likes like brand new. inside the case back and around the movement is nearly perfect, no major rust or corrosion – minty!
this watch runs and keeps excelent time. all the chronograph functions work perfectly.
the serial number of the watch is 1,342,972, which puts production in 1970, this watch was sold 2 years later. yes, this incredible watch is 56 years old and almost looks new!
this is a big watch.the watch is 40mm in diameter not including the stem or push buttons. it is 48mm from lug to lug. it has 22mm lugs.
the watch comes on a brand new, black, thick, stitched, high dollar, leather strap with stainless steel buckel! someone is going to be very pleased!
investment grade and museum quality, this is one of the nicest examples i have seen.
