Let me tell the Story of Max:

When we moved to Magnolia, we never imagined that we wouldn't be the only family moving in. Unknown to us at the time, there were 11 newly born puppies deep under the crawlspace of this 110-year-old house. When we began hearing the little family, the mother would come out to see who or what we were, and after a while, she moved the puppies-all but one, whom we named Max. I told my son, "If you can catch him, he's yours." Well, my son outsmarted me, and I found myself at Atwoods buying a Coon Live Trap. We had Max in under an hour; he had an irresistible temptation to the canned dog food we used as bait. That is how we came to have Max.

I wanted to know what kind of dog Max would be, so I purchased an Ancestry Dog DNA kit-and I was shocked at the results. Max is special, alright. He is 40% American Pit Bull Terrier, 30% Boxer, and 30% Coyote. I guess mom got around? Max was born around December 22nd, 2024. He is about 45–50 pounds, he's afraid of everything (likely the coyote traits), and he is the warmest animal I have ever had. I purchased all of his shots from Atwoods and gave them to him myself. He will still need his rabies shot. He is housebroken, kennel-trained, and a shadow, a "people person." Max can "speak," he is motivated by treats, and he has developed a nice personality.

So, why am I giving Max away? It's simple: he needs a bigger space than what I have to give. I don't have a fence or land he can run on. Max needs a family-oh yes, Max loves kids! My nephews, ages 9 and 12, come to visit, and Max becomes one of the kids; it's the same with my grandkids. He is not aggressive at all, a little fearful of thunder and plastic bags because of the noise they make, but one thing is for sure: he is very smart. If you are the lucky one to give Max a new home, I will give you his kennel (he knows the word "cage"), dog bowls, and leash. Max is free to a good family. No money involved at all - "Just a loving new home".
